As a choreographer, you are required to come up with new choreographic concepts all the time. It is important to search for inspiration in lots of different places, to keep your choreographic ideas fresh and original. Inspiration can come in the form of a conversation, a photo, a piece of fabric or your favourite poem.

One choreographer, who continues to push boundaries and produce fresh/original work is USA's Travis Wall. This article by Kelly Connolly of Entertainment Weekly is about 6 months old now, but is well worth the read. Wall discusses how he came to be a 3x Emmy Nominated Choreographer for his work on So You Think You Can Dance. He discusses his inspiration behind some of his work and also let's readers in on a few secrets.
